Reading these estimates
Primary guide: Understanding and Using PRCS Data (Census, 2020). Current API metadata determine release-specific values and coverage.
Compare estimates from the same survey product. Switching between one-year and five-year estimates is not a year-over-year change comparison.
MSA values come directly from the Census API. The 12 municipios outside MSAs use a dotted pattern in MSA view and remain part of Puerto Rico totals. Boundaries use 2024 Census geometry and July 2023 MSA membership.
Margins of error use a 90% confidence level. Category sums and percentages have approximate derived margins. Controlled totals have no sampling margin. Rankings order point estimates and are not tests of statistically significant differences.
