CBP counts employer establishments, not firms, self-employed residents or GDP. Most government activity, crop and animal production, and certain other industries are excluded. Sector 11 covers forestry, fishing and agricultural support only. Coverage differs from the Economic Census.
Employment is for the pay period including March 12. Financial values are in current dollars. Municipio employment and payroll are published for all establishment sizes combined; size-class maps therefore show establishments only.
Reading these statistics
Noise grades G, H and J describe increasing disclosure distortion; they are not sampling margins of error. No combined noise grade is assigned to derived MSA sums.
Employers without a fixed or known municipio are included in Census’s statewide classification. The published Puerto Rico benchmark can exceed the sum of its municipios; those records are not assigned to an MSA here.
